Lipper Leaders
A sophisticated approach to finding funds that fit your needs
Lipper, the leading mutual fund research company, has developed the Lipper Leader Rating System to help guide investors and their advisors in selecting funds that suit individual investment styles and goals.
The Lipper Leader Rating System is a toolkit that uses investor-centered criteria to deliver a simple, clear description of a fund's success in meeting certain goals, such as preserving capital or building wealth through consistent, strong returns. Used in conjunction with one another, Lipper Leader ratings can effectively identify funds that meet the particular characteristics sought by the investor.
NOTE: Lipper Leaders are Changing As of 7 November, the Lipper Leaders Rating System changed. While the formulas and the underlying methodology remain the same, the numeric organization of the system changed so for each measure the highest 20% are rated 5 or Lipper Leaders and the lowest 20% are rated 1. For more details, please visit the Lipper Leaders Guide web page.
Lipper Leader measures are not currently available for all countries but an explanation of the measures can be found in the U.S. section of this site. Please use the country selection tool at the top of this page to change countries.
Lipper Leaders and the Lipper Leader Fund Count file are updated by the evening of the 7th business day of each month. The Fund Count file can be found on this page.
